Planning the perfect day of R&R in San Clemente
Whether work ended 15 minutes ago or 15 years ago, we could all use a little more rest and relaxation in our lives. And we all unwind in different ways—exercise, yoga, a pampered spa day, or a day at the beach. Enter Sea Summit at San Clemente. With its postcard-perfect climate, miles of coastline, nature trails and local shops and cafes offering a taste of everything, every morning is a new opportunity to craft the perfect day.
To get an idea of just how easy it is to plan a day of relaxation, we’ve created a sample itinerary for you. Let’s look at a day in the life of Sea Summit.
Let the warm sun wake you up. Sleep in for a bit. Once you get out of bed, open those curtains and let the warm sunlight flood in. Crack open the window and feel the coastal breeze on your face. It’s going to be a great day.
Start your day off with a relaxing, yet invigorating yoga session at Pure. Love. Yoga. Get into a slow flow, or work up a sweat with a Vinyasa class. Yoga is a great way to warm up your body and relax the mind, making it one of our favorite ways to start the day.
Catch up over a cup of coffee at one of the many quaint shops around San Clemente. Indulge in a flaky chocolate croissant, or stick with the health kick and get a fresh fruit bowl for breakfast. Our favorites? Bear Coast Coffee and the veggie crepe at Antoine’s Café.
Continue the conversation while walking the beautiful grounds of Casa Romantica, the former home of San Clemente’s founder, Ole Hanson. Stunning Spanish architecture, spectacular ocean views, and well-manicured gardens make this hidden gem a great local retreat.
Let’s get the blood pumping again. Head back to Sea Summit, lace up your sneakers, pack your beach bag, and let’s hit the scenic trails. Tour the natural habitat by foot, then make your way down to the beach for a little sun tanning and ocean-dipping.
End the day with a little pampering. Get a facial treatment and haircut at Salon Zinnia, or enjoy a spa day at home by drawing a bubble bath, lighting a few candles and enjoying the sea breeze from your window. The perfect antidote to stress—and the perfect end to the perfect day around San Clemente.
