San Clemente December 2016

December 2, 2016

It’s the most wonderful time of the year in San Clemente! Holiday season is in full swing and with it comes hot cocoa, holiday music, and—if you’ve been good—a visit from Santa Claus. Or, why not take the initiative and visit him yourself? Santa sightings aren’t too hard to come by this time of the year, and we’ve got a lineup of holiday-themed activities in the San Clemente area guaranteed to get you a glimpse of the man in the red suit.

Santa’s Village by the Sea

San Clemente’s biggest holiday event comes December 3rd and features a day full of festive fun. Enjoy games, crafts, and cookie decorating—and of course a chance to meet Santa—at the Community Center, as well as a dazzling tree-lighting ceremony around dusk. Then make your way down to the beautifully decorated Casa Romantica for hot chocolate, live music, and a talking Christmas tree. Mark your calendars for this event, which is certain to be a day filled with holiday magic and cheer.

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

Make your way up to Laguna Niguel for Orange County’s best holiday parade! The fun begins December 10th at 10:00 am, so be sure to make it early enough to get a good seat. Expect a fun-filled show featuring music, dancing, and Santa Claus. As if that weren’t enough, there will also be appearances by a celebrity grand marshal and a teen celebrity guest. The theme for this year’s parade is “Home for the Holidays,” and you’ll feel right at home cheering the locals and stars that make this festive event possible.

Winter Fantasy Festival

Throughout the month, Sawdust Art and Craft Festival will be hosting their 26th annual Winter Fantasy in Laguna Beach, with a variety of shopping and entertainment options. Take part in one of Southern California’s most unique holiday shopping experiences, with work from over 175 artists for sale and on display including jewelry, blown glass, ceramics and clothing. Visit Santa and tell him all your Christmas wishes. Or simply enjoy the holiday atmosphere with a drink from one of the featured cafes. Make this sensational winter festival a priority! Check for dates and times below.

Yappy Howl-iday

The Holidays are no time to forget good old Fido, and The Ritz-Carlton of Laguna Niguel is making sure you take time for man’s best friend by hosting a Yappy Howl-iday Celebration on Sunday, December 4th. Bring your family for a festive gathering, and introduce your pooch to Santa himself. In conjunction with the Ritz-Carlton’s Season of Giving, attendees are asked to bring a donation dog food or dog toys which will be given to our four-legged friends in need.
